Autumn Beauty Must Haves.

1) Christian Dior Eye pallets
This autumn, Dior have released two limited edition palettes–Dior Bonne Etoile and Constellation 5-Color Eye Palette Both palettes are part of the Mystic Metallic collections, which is a high-metal, high glamour. Dior Bonne Etoile is my favourite and it incorporates a range of cool blue and green-teal,  a sparkling bronze-brown and a high-shine cool champagne. These varieties of colours will suit almost any eye colour but I think they will look most incredible and brown and green eyes. £41.

2) Mac’s 3D Black Lash Mascara.
This is the new mascara from mac and it promises enhanced volume, extended length and curl. It comes in two lightweight formulas, classic black or blacker than black 3D black lash. I bought this mascara recently and I love it. It really does make you lashes look amazing and I’ve had a few people comment on how long my eyelashes look. £18

3) Eyeko brow gel.
Move over pencils it’s all about brow gel now. This product lets you comb and tint in one quick step for enhanced brows. I cannot wait to try this stuff! I’ve been using eyebrow pencils for a while now so I’m dying to test out this gel and see what it’s like, I’ve read a few reviews and everyone seems to be raving about it, so if you love enhanced brows, go out and buy this. £18 from Space NK.

4) Essie Nail Varnish colours for autumn.
The range is called’ for the Twill of it’ which is super cute and there is 6 different shades. There is Essie Cashmere Bathrobe which is my personal fave. It’s a smokey grey colour with glass flecks that show up lovely on this darker shade. The other equally gorgeous colours are Essie After School Boy Blazer is, which is a navy blue crème. For the Twill of it, which is a multi-chrome, shade-shifting metallic polish. Essie The Lace Is On, a vivid fuchsia shimmer peppered with smooth glitter. Essie Twin Sweater Set, a red crème polish and finally, Essie Vested Interest a teal crème polish. All colours are £7.99 each.

5) Michael Kors.  £18 Liquitan Self Tanner.
This is an amber-tinted, fast-acting formula for instant, sun-kissed gratification. Unlike many fake tans, this Micheal Kors product smells gorgeous; the subtle sandalwood and white floral scent is a welcome change from the typical unpleasant aroma that accompanies most fake tanning products. This is a great product for autumn when your natural tan has faded away with the summer and you’re in need of an instant glow.

6) Clinique superprimer – Colour corrects dullness.
With the change in weather our skin takes a beating during the colder months during autumn and winter. Our skin appears duller during the colder months and often needs a little boost to brighten it back up. This primer from Clinique promises to do just that. Its £20 for 30ml and will last ages.

7) Honey by Marc Jacobs.
“This fragrance opens with a fresh fruity hook, and melts to a beautiful floral honey heart for a long lasting and sunny signature fragrance”. I adore all of marc Jacobs scents so this one I have to try. It’s £50 for 50ml at ‘The Perfume Shop’ which isn’t actually bad for a Marc Jacobs fragrance.

How to wear PINK!?

One of autumns biggest colour crazes this year is pink, in every shade. However for most of us, wearing pink can be quite daunting. If you want to stay on trend but you’re worried about looking like a Barbie doll, here are some tips on how to rock pink this autumn.

If you’re not used to wearing bright colours start out with teaming up a black outfit with a pop of pink accessories. Team quirky brights with your wardrobe staples such as a black dress with pink heels or a clutch bag. You can even just try out pink lips as a starter. Mac Impassioned lipstick is a great colour to wear if you want to try out the pink trend on your lips.

If you’re a bit more daring try out a more subtle pink in either a jacket or jumper paired with some jeans. This gives you a pop of colour but still allows you to avoid the Barbie doll look.

If you want to go all out on the pink trend this summer a great way to do this is to layer up and wear different shades of pink. A great way to do this is by focusing on your upper half, team a pale pink jumper or cardigan with a fuchsia pink coat and you will most definitely turn heads.

Here’s how some celebrities have been seen wearing the pink trend.

Kimberly Walsh teams her bodycon skirt with the perfect pink knit to brighten up her outfit.

Kylie Jenner goes for a pop of colour with her pastel pink skirt whilst big sister Khloe Kardashian goes for a more daring look in a bright pink dress teamed with black boots.

Miranda Kerr keeps it chic in a coral jacket.

Emma Stone wows in this bright pink dress that looks perfect with her pale skin and blonde hair.

And Eva Mendes works this seasons oversized pink coat.

How to get great looking curly hair without any heat.

I’ve always wanted to have super gorgeous curly hair, but I don’t want to damage my hair by applying so much heat through it with the use of curling tongs etc…

So, I did a bit of research and I came across some great ways of getting the perfect curls that last all day, with absolutely no heat.  The best tip I came across, and the one I use the most, is the twisting method. After blow drying your hair, split it into two sections like you would if you were plaiting your hair. Then, twist each section of hair in a clockwise motion until its tightly wrapped. Pin each twist on top of your hair with a bobbi pin, and then secure both sections with a hair clip at the top of your head so it’s not uncomfortable to sleep in. In the morning, take out the clip and shake your hair upside down. The results are brilliant, and the curls last all day long without having to apply hair spray.

Another way to get a more tousled look is to sleep in plaits, the more plaits you section your hair off with, the tighter the waves will be. If you want a more tousled look, go for two loose plaits and sleep in them to create gorgeous wavey hair. If you are in mad rush and want to create this look, you can go over your plaits with a straightener, I know I said these tips included no heat, but a few goes over your braids with the straightener will give you instant waves which are great for a last minute night out.

Sleep in rollers are also a fantastic way to create big bouncy curls without any heat damage. I’ve reviewed these rollers before, so if you want a more detailed explanation of how they work, you can find that a few posts down. The rolls are great for creating big bouncy curls or a more subtle wave and flick depending on the direction you roll your hair. Although a little hard to sleep in, they do give fantastic results and I would recommend them to anyone wanting big curls that last all day.

Spring Must Haves!

After a long and drawn out winter, spring seems to be finally making an appearance. With the sun shining, we can now ditch our ugly chunky coats and fur boots and make space in our wardrobes for this year’s best spring and summer trends. Here are some of this seasons fashion and beauty must haves that prove you don’t have to spend a fortune to stay on trend this spring.

Candy Crops.
Candy crops are everywhere at the moment, they are a great staple piece to have in your wardrobe as the style makes an appearance every spring and summer. They look great pared with a simple white T-shirt and flat sandals.

Little White Dresses.
Say bye-bye to the Little Black Dress because it’s time for the little white dress to step into the limelight. All the starts from The Saturdays Mollie King to Cheryl Cole have been seen wearing them and they are perfect for almost any occasion. Paired with a nude wedge during the day or a cream stiletto for the evening, the LWD is the new staple wardrobe must have.

Barry M Textured Nail Effects.
As well as candy crop jeans, candy coloured nails are also a big trend this season and it’s a great trend for those less daring. Barry M have a great range of pastel nail polishes and their most recent varnish incorporates textured nail effect. Great for a grunge chic look, these polishes are all the rage, and at just £3.99 a bottle, it’s no surprise that they have become such a popular product.

Max Factor Lip Fusion. £6.99 each.
These giant pen-like lipsticks are the hottest hybrid beauty buy of the moment. They come in a huge array of shades and the pen-like end gives great precision, much better than a regular lipstick. The colour lasts all day without having to re-apply and is the perfect short cut to pout perfection.  The in-colours for spring are powder pinks and corals.

Minimalist Strappies.
Ditch your clunky black wedge shoe for something much more minimal this spring, the classic strappy. This sophisticated shoe has become a celebrity favourite and they are all over the high-street.  You can get hold of them in a ton of different colours to suit every outfit and they are perfect to show of your newly manicured toes.

Kimono Jackets.
It’s finally time to say goodbye to the big overbearing jackets we have all been swapped in this summer.  Spring is here and to celebrate the return of the sunshine, grab yourself a lightweight silky kimono jacket to compliment your summer attire.  The billowing sleeves are great for those who aren’t comfortable showing off to much skin whilst the silky, lightweight material will keep your body cool.

Sleep-In Rollers, Tried and Tested.

I have been, for months now, SO excited to get some sleep-in rollers. I had heard some great things about them and after watching several tutorials on YouTube I finally bought them a few weeks ago.

Now, I’ve never used rollers before, so I was new to the whole thing, but after watching a tutorial on YouTube I was ready to give them a go.

First of all, it’s always better to use them on clean hair.
I personally would recommend that it’s left damp as it makes it easier to section and get your hair neatly into each roller. For big bouncy curls, you want to roll your hair clockwise, and if you want a more flicked effect roll anti-clockwise.
I wanted the big bouncy effect so I rolled all my hair clockwise.

Once the rollers were in and secured, I got ready for bed. Now…I don’t know about anyone else who has tried them, but, I found them very hard to sleep in and I was really disappointed. I mean…I knew they were never going to be super comfortable, but they do run with the tag line ‘Goodbye Sleepless nights, Hello great hair’. The first time I used them, I ended up waking up at 1 in the morning and taking them all out because I was getting so frustrated. However…I think with a  bit of getting used to, I would be able to sleep better.

Although they aren’t that easy to sleep in, they do make your hair look great, and I loved how big and bouncy my hair was when I finally managed to sleep with them in all night.  I’ve recently started just putting them in the top section of my hair for a bit of volume. This way, they don’t get in the way when you’re sleeping, but you are still left with great volume, so for anyone who hasn’t used rollers before, I would recommend doing this first to get used to them.

Sleep-In Rollers cost £17.95. With that you get 20 rollers, which for most, would be more than enough.  They also come in a really cute pink draw-string bag that you can use for overnight stays at a friend’s house. Loads of Celebs have been spotted out in their Sleep-In Rollers, Amy Child's being one of them. She has now created her own purple design for Sleep-In Rollers. There is loads to choose from on the website, so if your not sure what to buy visit

Also, if you are unsure how to fit your rollers, watch Hollie Wakeham on Youtube, she's a great help.  Youtube.com/pampurlounge.

Have you used sleep-in rollers before? If so, what did you think?

Soap & Glory No Clogs Allowed – Deep Pore Detox Mask. Reviewed

So I was browsing online for soap and glory skin products as I’ve heard a lot of great things about them, and I came across this product. I’m always looking for new skin products as unfortunately I suffer with oily, blackhead prone skin, so when I saw the name of this product I thought ‘Perfect, just what I’m looking for’. I also really liked the sound of the ‘Hot pore clear technology’.

It's £11 for 100ml, which seems dear, but you only use it twice a week and you don’t have to apply too much, so it actually lasts quite a long time. Inside the box you get a free mini pink sponge which helps a lot with applying evenly and it makes the taking off process a lot easier as you’re not having to splash water everywhere.

So, you apply the mask all around your face, and rub in circular motions. Once you start to rub the mask in, you will feel a heating sensation, (which is a bizarre feeling at first) and the mask will start to turn a bluey colour. Leave the mask on for 5 minutes and then rinse off with the help of the handy sponge. I found that once you wash the mask off, it leaves your skin feeling quite chalky, so really give it a good rinse until your skin is left feeling soft.

After a few weeks of using this mask, I have really noticed a difference in my skin. It’s much less oily and looks a lot brighter. I still have blackhead prone skin, but it has improved a lot. This is a product that you have to stick with, you won’t see instant results, but if you keep with it, it will definitely leave your skin looking much better.  I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with blackhead prone skin; however, if you have sensitive skin, the Hot Pore Technology might not be for you.

Have any of you used this mask before? Or any other heating masks? Let me know what you think, and thanks for reading.

2013, The year of Celeb Babies

Happy New Year everyone! It’s a new year, and my new year’s resolution is to keep on top of my blog. I have so much I want to share with you all about new products I’ve tried and tested that I can't wait to share themwith you all. I hope you all had a fabulous NYE.

So 2013 seems to be the year for celebritiy babies! In November and December it seemed like everyone was announcing their pregnancies and for the most of them, it will be their first child. We all love a celeb baby, and they make so many headlines before their even born. Here are the most anticipated babies of 2013!

The first has got to be our Will and Kate. I think the birth of this baby is going to be one of the biggest headline stories of 2013 and if they have a girl, it will be the first time in the History of the British Monarchy that she will be guaranteed 3rd in line to the throne.  I absolutley adore Kate and I think she will be a fantasic mum. Literally can not wait.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.
Am I the only one that was shocked by this news? Although I think they will be great parents, let’s remember that’s she’s still legally married to Kris Humphries. I can’t quite imagine Kim pregnant but no doubt we will see it all happen on KUWTK, and, I’m not going to lie, I will be tuning in to watch every episode.

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan.
I have been waiting to hear this news for a while now. They have been married a few years now, which is centuries for a Hollywood couple and I was dying for them to become parents. They are one of the best looking couples around, so there is no doubt that this baby will be super cute.

Rochelle and Marvin Humes.
Well they didn’t waste much time did they! They got married in July and announced the pregnancy in November, so it would appear that they got straight to it. I’m not really surprised by the news of this pregnancy though as for months leading up to the wedding they both did numerous interviews stating they wanted a huge family so they have no time to waste!

Other stars that are rumoured to be pregnant but have yet to confirm are Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Aniston, but I find it hard to believe the latter.

So which baby do you think will create the most headlines?
